How It Works/Accepted Items
Washington County Solid Waste & Recycling will collect these items on-site during SHS Climate Change Club’s drive:
- Mobile phones and their cords, if case comes with it, that’s fine. No separate accessories for now.
- Tablets and their cords, and if case installed/attached, fine. No separate accessories.
- LAPTOPs (great need see specifics on Free Geek’s page) and their cords. No separate accessories.
- Please, do a reset to factory settings if possible, FreeGeek has a process in place to do so once devices are in their possession
- Due to the expected volume, donation receipts will not be available on-site. Instructions on how to obtain one will be shared during the event
- Monetary donations are NOT accepted on-site for FreeGeek, but they can be processed via their website.
**NOTE: If capacity is reached before the end of the event, donation collection will stop, but County staff will remain until closing to answer questions and provide alternatives for disposal/donation of repairable items.
